Events

South London are organising the following events:

Halloween - Rare Breeds Centre - 30th October - 1st November

Halloween at the Rare Breeds Centre is now established as one of the best events in the South East, there is nothing quite like it. This year we put far more light hearted fun into the day time activities to ensure people with younger children can enjoy the event as much as the brave souls who take on the night time terrors!'
From 10.30 - 4pm, families with younger children can enjoy the more-gentle day-time Halloween fun trying to spot scary characters.  A Halloween Pantomime, Red Riding Hood's pig race, The Boo Tunnel, Hansel and Gretel's Cottage plus all the normal fun of the Farm. There's even a Halloween Fancy Dress competition with great prizes so be sure the children dress up!
As darkness falls from 6pm - 10 pm, the bigger braver people can enjoy The Terror Trailer Rides, unpredictable walks through the Forbidden Forest, horror in The Boo Tunnel, a more scary theatre, and frights too numerous to mention. Then on your walk take refuge and sip soup with the Wild Witches! There's also a BBQ and refreshments - dress for the weather and bring a torch - it's dark out there!!!

For more information please contact Michael & Trish Holness

Rye Bonfire and Fireworks Festival - 13th - 15th November

The Rye Bonfire and Fireworks festival is a great event.  Staying at the Rye college it is only a short walking distance to the town centre for the evenings activities.
The event starts with a torchlit procession and a mixture of floats through the town to the bonfire.  A massive bonfire is lit with a 'Celebratory Guy' burned to the stake.  This is followed by a firework display over the town.
For more information please contact Kevin & Karen Turner.

Christmas Social - 11th - 13th December

The Festival team run the Christmas Social each year and is a chance for the members to get together before the festive period.  This is a well supported event with good food and entertainment.  Father Christmas usually visits for the children.
For further information please contact the festival team.
